The John and Pat Patrick Scholarship Fund was established with a generous contribution from Thomas Tarzian and Catherine Steele in memory of John Patrick, who built and led a distinctive program forming educators at Indiana University, and his wife Pat, both faithful Catholics.  Lumen Christi will maintain the fund to provide Patrick Scholarships to families who demonstrate financial need.

Because Lumen Christi does not accept state vouchers for tuition in order to maintain our independence in setting curriculum and policy, our families make a significant sacrifice to send their children to our school. Financial aid is a critical need to ensure that Lumen Christi is accessible to all families who are committed to our mission. The establishment of the John and Pat Patrick Scholarship Fund is an important step in providing a solid foundation for ongoing financial aid. We are deeply grateful for the contribution that makes this possible and excited about the potential to build the fund through the SGO.

In addition, as of July 1, donors who wish to support the Patrick Scholarship Fund have the option of making their contributions to the Institute for Quality Education (IQE), an SGO under Indiana law, and designating that their donations go to Lumen Christi. Contributions to IQE are eligible for a 50% credit on Indiana income taxes.
